Commercial port of Bandar Abbas

Bandar Abbas, the most important port city of Iran, is geographically facing the Hormuz Straits and the mouth of the Persian Gulf.

The new port of Bandar Abbas, executed at 25 Km from the old port, covers an area of about 20 Km2 and is provided with advanced structures which allow the stocking of huge quantities of goods and a quick loading and downloading of ships.

Many difficulties have been encountered and overcome in order to accomplish this majestic work; certainly, what mainly affected our workers and rigs was the climate factor.  As a matter of fact, Bandar Abbas is in an area where temperatures can reach peaks of 53 C° in the shadow - during summer time, with humidity rates of 95-100%.
